Try again....
I'm not MotherHen but your asinine post made me decide to counterargue:

LeeC wrote, quoted:
"All your DVD's are genuine"

Yep.

"you've never scanned a picture from a book"

Nope.

"and you don't own any MP3's of an album someone lent you"

As a matter of fact I do. Except there's a difference in 1) being a "seeder" where you give someone a few songs of an artist you think they'll like and 2) whether the material was available for profit. Those are important distinctions, particularly #2. You already know seeders aren't officially liked or officially recognized by the industry, but you didn't know they are indeed cherished, did you?. The industry just doesn't want them giving away the whole shebang or tons of songs arbitrarily.

"When you were at school (assuming you're not still there.. althought the gold star thing does make me wonder) you never ever copied a video game."

Sure I did. Back then it was legal. IIRC, many of them were pasted on the insides of magazines which made it very easy to copy and give to friends or were shareware disks that urged you to give your friends copies. The hard part was getting access to a copy machine (very rare back then) and typing all the code into your Apple ][ without typos. Plus, floppy disks were very expensive to waste on crappy shareware games.

"Or just generally, you know all the laws and have never broken one?"

First, let me ask you if you *actually* believe this moron in Florida didn't know he was breaking the law? You pose a ridiculous question. But I'll answer anyway: I break a few now and again, and no, I don't know all the laws in the U.S. But then again you can't break a law you don't know about. In general, I don't look to break laws of which I'm aware. (Note, before you stick your other foot in your mouth, look up the definition of "ignorance" before you reply.)

"Oh and BTW, not every CD is allowed to be copied, so just because you have the original, doesn't mean you can legally have a CD-R of it."

Ah, the lawyer speaks... of what he speaks he knows not. Try again. It is quite evident you know little about our (U.S.) legal system, of the fair use doctrine, and the laws regarding this topic. I suggest you take some serious time away from script-kiddie skool and research these before further embarrasing yourself.
