There's little point in rehashing the arguments about what software costs to develop, the value of the actual products, the motivation to produce without monetary compensation, the open source model, compensation for support, the benefits and drawbacks of patenting, [add your own topic here].

He broke the law, and I'm happy to see him do time.

It is more important in this area for the purchaser's who know they purchased illegal copies to have to pony up.

And, yes, you can check my hard drive any time. It's all legal. You can also check my CDs. I own every CD for which I have a CD-R. (I'm going to give myself another gold star and put on my sun glasses in case I pass a mirror.)
