You are absolutly right about Apple lost of invention. That was the reason Apple lose ground.
And Sculley was the executor. Just month after Jobs return, BOOOOMM Imac enter the market and got Apple back on track of profitable Computer maker.

Anyway, the point I wanted to make. Windows XP was release about 3, top 4 years ago. Windows XP finally shutted down MS-DOS; Someone rememeber the parody of Windows XP introducction... DOS acting as a HAL 9000 from the movie Space Oddessy. DOS: "Please Bill don't shut me down", BG: "Sorry DOS is over". Well that was top 4 years ago.....

Many will argue fearless but "technically" speaking, W3.X, W95 and W98 were in fact just applications, not an OS per se (DOS WAS a must, a requirement...!!!). WXX, installation procedure, installed DOS first, them WXX application on top. Basically Windows user used DOS until 2001.

Mac OS allway have been years ahead of Windows XX.
