different perspective
I do agree that IBM shouldn't take potshots at OpenSolaris. They should focus their attention to making Linux/AIX better. Also, any UNIX variant is better than the alternative.

However my perspective is a bit different than yours. AIX and HP-UX to me is easier to manage than Solaris (I have been using Solaris/HP-UX/AIX for over 10 years now). Don't get me wrong, I do like Solaris, but prefer AIX or Linux. Do like HP-UX as well, but my company migrated majority of our HP-UX boxes to either Linux or AIX.
