Microsoft is here to stay.
No one, at least that I'm aware of, here in Linux-land ever denied that. No one has ever denied that people are entitled to use Windows if they want to.

The same, of course, cannot be said of a lot of people in Microsoft-land. Microsoft's avowed public strategy, once upon a time, was to deny those of us who prefer Linux that option.
