The question is..
Will consumers buy an intentionally disabled Windows?

Chances are, MS will charge as much or more for Windows w/o Media player (citing the development costs involved in removing the product from the OS)..

This also doesn't bode well for application developers who rely on the presence of Media Player, through it's API.
