- oh dear, not good choices

I far prefer OpenOffice. I fight Microsoft Office XP to get things done. (tables, auto-bullets, that damn cut and paste right hand pane ARRRGGGHHH and the damn DRAWING AREA arrrrrrrrgggggggh)
PhotoShop I find confusing, GIMP for win32 being far easier, and very powerful.
MS Small Business.... no need for this, my accountant does it all in spreadsheets (in no-time).
Games -> use a console, a LOT less hassle.
No compatability settings, driver issues and DirectX9, Media Player upgrading required.
Frontpage: you're joking, right? If you'd have said Dreamweaver, I wouldn't be laughing so hard now. Frontpage is awkward, really goddamned awkward.
Quickbooks - never really liked this. But I guess it works. I'm sure there are Linux alternatives that work as well as this.
Other "killer" win32 programs:
MS Money Deluxe 2004 I just can't get to work properly. What the hell is it with that program. Why can't I get my balance to be the same as the one at my bank? The internet in the MSMoney window thing is lousy, really lousy. The budgeting, forecasting, I just can't get to work properly. Graphing expenses by category took a long long time to get right.
Quicken was so easy compared! - Posted by: hipparchus Posted on: 03/26/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
