UK newspapers reported that the European Commission said it could take 5 years for the appeal process to be exhausted, if MS decides to appeal to the European Court of First Instance.

However, I believe the EU is different from the US in that the deadline for the remedies imposed takes effect from the date of the initial ruling, not from the date of the decision in the final appeal. So MS has less than 3 months from today to unbundle WMP. Maybe someone with more knowledge of EU law could confirm or refute this?
