Re: I'll bite =:-)
Thanks for the advice. I think I will stick with Windows for the time being. I have tried three different distros over a period of three years. I bought all these from CompUSA with an intention of helping the ones who did the hard work. But at the end ... I am disappointed. None of these work as good as my old windows 98 for my needs. Thanks for those links anyway... But ... I dont want to try downloading those apps... I have downloaded enough of them and spent too much of my time configuring and resolving dependencies, trying to make my linux box work. I think, now I dont want to try another linux distro for another three years. By then probably linux folks would create at least a decent word processor(with some nice looking fonts), and a decent video player. Mean time I will try learning some programming and create another text editor for linux(called medit) and release it under GPL happy
