Re: No, tell us how you really feel
To tell you how I really feel --- To be honest, I really wish linux succeeds and become a great desktop OS. The concept of sharing the knowledge is great. But the way the linux world is going makes me sick. There is very little innovation. Most of it is copying . Copying the server features from Unix, copying the GUI from windows and Apple OSX etc. And none of these copies become as good as the original. Nobody cares a damn about creating some innovative and useful application. I know applications and OS are different. But what is the use of a very stable rock solid OS if there is no good application ? If I was a good programmer I would have developed some good applications on linux and distributed them under GPL, than trying to create another distro with a new wallpaper. But you know ... everyone is not a programmer ... The the great majority are users.
