The best thing they should do is make Software for Linux rather than an OS
An operating system is not all that and I wish people would see that.

Hand someone an Operating system and a computer.. and what do they have.... nothing.

Hand them an OS, and some kick ass software, and they are happy as a clam. First this company needs to make some money so go after business systems, and business solutions, but software is where linux is having a hard time. Or even better would be to have a professional tools company for linux. Something that implemented a windows "wizard" style interface for various tasks then sold this tech to major Linux OS lines like suse or redhat.
