You are thinking general web browsing, but I can see a specific application that DOES make sense. Right now the car makers charge buku bucks for onboard navigational systems. If you had a voice enabled-voice response Opera browser in your car, you could connect to MapQuest or another similar service, and get directions to your destination from the browser. The browser could then talk you through to your destination.

Although I do concur that while you are driving, you shouldn't be LOOKING at a web browser.
