RIAA can't beat Independent Artists

Just something I've been thinking about. I know so many artists that have gone independent and now use their own myspace etc for their songs and offer then for free. LOLZ We are at a time in history where we have the programs to make our own music and it's easier for us to produce our own without the need for this dying demon that is the RIAA etc.

All the RIAA is doing is fighting it's last breath before it utterly plummets into the sea. In business class we talked about downloading and how the labels fail to see it as FREE MARKETING.

They are stuck in an old out-dated system that refuses to adapt to the new way of music. I say, write a song with your band, slap a General Public License (GPL) like Linux does, and it becomes a form of Public Domain with some MINOR rules on it that the artist can identify as theirs. Let the industry starve to death, they deserve it. Enough of their excessive scam ripping artists off, slaving them on tours and paying them dick all so they the suit wearing mobsters can have huge houses.

RIAA and all major labels. ADAPT, OR DIE!
