Even the Apple commercial distinguish between ...
... a "PC" and a "Mac." Even though Apple uses Intel processors now, they ain't a PC and you play hell integrating the hardware into your business.

"...thousands of small-medium sized PC resellers who will sell you naked PCs." Now, NonZealot, reread MY post:

"Tell me one major PC workstation retailer who advertises a fully configured OS other than Windows on their latest, top-of-the-line machine."

Does HP? Does Dell? Does Gateway? Does Sony? Does Toshiba? No? Then consumers do not have CHOICE, and CHOICE is what I was talking about.

Naked PC's? Reread my post AGAIN, NonZealot:

"Tell me one major PC workstation retailer who advertises a fully configured OS other than Windows on their latest, top-of-the-line machine." A naked PC doesn't fit the criteria I established in my comment because most consumers aren't technonerds.

"Face it, the demand for a fully configured OS other than Windows/OSX is not yet big enough for the major PC resellers to sacrifice their "one size fits all" assembly line cost advantages." Who the heck was talking about profit margins for the big manufacturers? Reread my post AGAIN, NonZealot:

"Tell me one major PC workstation retailer who advertises a fully configured OS other than Windows on their latest, top-of-the-line machine." Again, I was talking about CHOICE, and the consumer doesn't have it for whatever reason.
