Having tried vista beta2 I think it will be a blockbuster
If you haven't tried it, you should. initially I was sceptical. Not any more.

Sure Microsoft need to sell software or subscriptions to stay in business. Their business model has worked for the last 27 years or so.

In recent tests we found that Windows NT Server 2003 beats Linux into the ground as a Samba server, I mean seriously seriously beats it into the ground. The capitalist system does work. If a corporation isn't responsive to users, or makes lame product, it's profit suffers.
The way Microsoft has improved since the deadly days of Windows 98 virus every ten seconds is truly amazing!

Also I find recent versions of Office are substantially better than OpenOffice. At one stage I was considering abandoning Microsoft Office, but not any more.

Like I said, the capitalist system works.
