Nothing complicated
There's nothing complicated about applying print standards to websites, except for the obvious differences between the two media. Websites have hyperlinks which might or might not hide the type of content "under" them, the pictures can move, there is possible audio content, and physically printed articles can have access restricted by any means available to keeping a physical object secure while every object on the Internet is only a hyperlink away from any other object.

I haven't seen the print standards you mentioned, but I'm sure they will need some tweaking in order to apply to the Web.

The bigger issue is that of enforcement, but this is irrelevant if the system is voluntary.
