Is it worth it
It seems to me that if it takes more time to ensure that your network and system is up to date and protected and fully functional than utilizing the computer to work and perform than it is not worth it. The downtime for updates, patches adjustments etc. is enormous compared to the actual utilization of the computer. Most people/companies do not have that kind of time and resources available or patience for that matter. What we are seeing is a revolution of thought towards less reliance on a technology that promises a brave new world and doesn't deliver. People are tired of the hype and the tin-men that promote it. The age of computerization and reliance on it is declining and will soon be over and seen to be a grand and expensive mistake. God help him if Bill Gates wired house has a virus or a glitch and nothing works. Why are we so stupid to buy into this vision crap and trust the sages with their flawed technology. PS the Xbox that I bought my boys is also crap and an expensive lesson in buyer beware.
