Did Darl forget our "enemies" can DL any OS (bootleg copy) they want?!?

Well,

Talk about selective memory... or selective thought and evidence for that matter. What does Linux have to do with the "enemies of the U.S."? Perhaps Darl is not familiar with what is going on around the Internet outside of his own little dollar cha$ing world, but our 'enemies' (or anyone else with a computer and a 3rd grade education) can use file sharing programs to download a bootleg copy of any OS they want - including SCO UNIX (if they wanted a settle-for OS). Perhaps he forgot.... they're BAD GUYS....
They're not exactly going to be making any calls to companies so they can shop for licensing agreements. (THAT would be BRILLIANT - "Hi, yes, Microsoft? Uhhh, this is [insert terrorist organization here]. Yes, we'd like to buy a 500 seat license pack for your OS so we can build a supercomputer and wreak havoc on the world. Will cash be okay for that?")
Darl IS the Elmer F.U.D. of the computer industry. He makes some companies that have been accused of monopolizing the software industry look like candy stripers volunteering at the local hospital.
All anyone needs to do, if they are sent a letter from SCO, is to send a letter back saying:

Dear SCO,

Thank you for your recent contact letter. We are eager to comply with any company that has a legal right to gain monetary compensation for their Intellectual Property. Please be assured, that as soon as your current legal proceedings are concluded, and it is so legally noted, that you do have legal ownership of said copyrights, we will immediately set up a meeting so we may discuss an equitable licensing agreement. Until such time, you must understand that is is not our company's habit of writing a check to every company or individual that contacts us and says we should pay them money for some product or service or other tangible effect, especially if it is a company we did not actually obtain anything directly from. Please understand, that if we sent SCO a letter asking a similar request, and you had no substantial way to verify our claims as to what we were seeking, you also would look for some legal verification or decision to be rendered regarding the validity of our claim.
We await the decision regarding your company's status as it pertains to Linux and Unix System V, and look forward to hearing from you after that time.
