Local Admin rights....
For the majority of XP users the first account created is at the admin level. As a default, all accounts created after that, are on the same level. If the account has a password associated with it, there is no need for private personal folders. By default, the password protects the ?my documents? folder and folders following that, of the current user. By having a software that protects folders is ludicrous. With the given chances of patches screwing something up, having a program by a company who?s idea of security is non existent, sending a patch could cause that program to mal-function or better, crash the system. If data files are located in that folder, there may not be any way of retrieving that data. Further, MS charges quite a bit for tech support and when a program doesn?t meet their standard, they dump it, or you spend all your money on the phone with them to tall you that it?s your problem, not the software.

It would be nice if MS could keep something straight and either go all the way or not go at all. This program hit their website and now it?s not supported and has been removed. Worst yet, if you have it and it crashes or locks you out, you lose as they already won?t support it.

I wish there was something good I could say about MS or at least point in a positive light but the problem is you are basically at their will. Now, I?m not sure if the story is correct about one admin complaining but if that?s the case, then they are really not secure about their products and cave on a whim. Not the sort of company I want handling my networking needs. I need a company that stands behind their products and support it.
