This is so ridiculous
If a sysadmin can't keep his users' systems under his control, he's not much of a sysadmin. If the big fear was that a user would store important company files in an encrypted folder and keep the password, then why aren't they worried that the end user would delete them and empty the recycle bin?

Private folders may be gone, but there are other tools out there that do the same, if not even more nefariously. Consider TrueCrypt (http://www.truecrypt.org/) which doesn't even have to be installed on a system to be used. Great tool. I highly recommend it to anyone who couldn't download Private Folders, and even to those who could.
