And had BeOS survived and saw the light of day as a main stream OS it would have blown the doors of of Win2K let alone Linux. Having used BeOS 5.0 just before they disappeared, the speeds I was seeing on an old AMD K6-2 450 with 64MB PC-66 RAM, made everything else look like molases, including Win2K. And that was a non-tweaked install of BeOS 5.0... I really wish it would have survived to be main stream.
