HP misses the point
the whole point of linux is to have an open operating system where a user can fix his own computer. linux itself requires user mofification for use of new non-supported hardware. to be required to get anyone's permission to make those changes runs counter to the spirit of the matter. it is counterproductive to the open source model for this company to even suggest that it should be given comtrol of user machines in this way. wake up and smell the coffee!
