The following was posted in United Press International last November:

This came from IT Toolbox?s 2003 salary survey:



Somewhere or other (sorry, I can?t find the source any more) I saw a survey of programmers? salaries adjusted for cost of living that showed that Indian programmers had a slightly higher standard of living than American programmers. People like call center staff were better off in the US.
