tells the story. And the fact that consumers are continuing to suck it up and love it tells the rest of the story. While corporate and government buyers are pressuring MS for more reasonable pricing, home users are so enamored with the aura of MS and Bill Gates that they are willing to pay a huge premium for a peice of the action. While the price of practically every other product has declined precipitously over the past ten years, rising prices for MS software has left most home consumers unfazed. Bill Gates has to be the greatest salesman since P. T. Barnum. One can't help but admire Microsoft for their unfailing talent for raking in the profits while successfully convincing everyone what a great deal they are getting and what great benefactors they are to society. Hats off to Microsoft!
