Production Release..........Pre-Alpha
Service Pack 1..............Alpha
Service Pack 2..............Beta
Service Pack 3..............Released for testing
Service Pack 4..............Last beta test
No equivalent...............Stable


Does this seem about right? While M$ shills are paying to test alpha and beta releases (and destroying their networks, breaking applications and spreading viruses), Linux developers are getting their software ready for production.

Of course I'm sure you're going to tell us all about longsong and all the great and wonderous miracles it will perform....Oh, wait, that's still about 4 years away. Never mind.
