- What the heck are you talking about?

Since when has the Linux kernel not been "ready?" Who said it wasn't? You?
Your phrase could easily be applied to MS Windows, and it would make just about the same amount of sense. Let's look at it, shall we?
"No Duh! The reality is that Windows Longhorn or any other Windows kernel will never be ready. How many years in development has it been and still not ready? Just a bunch of hype around a sorry excuse for a cloned OS. I'll stick with a real MacIntosh thank you."
Made much sense? No? Didn't think so. You see, Windows was "ready" with Windows 3.1. It was also "ready" with Windows 95, 98, 2000, and XP. By your logic, an OS kernel is only "ready" when all development on it has stopped.
Everyone else uses the term "dead" for those projects. - Posted by: Damon K Posted on: 10/29/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
