- Good post. What does/will the focus on Web apps mean?
-
You've hit on a couple of things I've been "chewing" on. What do you think about companies like Google are saying by creating and introducing web based apps?
Do you think there might be some off chance they intend to encourage the use of LiveCD style computing, with company data to be entrusted to "online" storage on someone elses' server? And if so, do you think this could be giving the hardware mfrs. a small sense of apprehension of sales losses?
Or could it all be indicative of something much larger yet to come, with DRM on the table and the entertainment industry (who is already moving swiftly notice Verizon rushing through rural towns implementing cable tv services) poised and about to start showering interactive high speed music and movies via what I'm most certain its' intended platform to be is vista. I mean check out the new processors the two powers are pushing now with the dual core tech they're engineered to handle processing massive amounts of constantly moving data.
Please do feel free to share your thoughts, facts and findings with us. You know to stay clear of the "trolls". - Posted by: yogeee Posted on: 07/11/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
