NBMers shouldn't fear Notes
Notes is a good addition, don't get me wrong. But I don't think that would keep Ballmer up nights. But they should be really, really afraid of this:

A set of common Linux API's. Making it even easier for companies to port their software products. That will create a market for a software development platform and testing tools.

The advantage to developing for Linux is companies can tune distros for turn key systems. Imagine an Adobe video editing suite to compete with Avid and FCP. Or Sony packing their system, based on Vegas Video and CoolEdit (renamed Audition) into a multimedia creation PC. Sony could run with Adobe in video/music, but Adobe could add Photoshop, Illustrator and package one mighty artistic platform. That would scare Apple, too. Or should.

I think an Adobe creativity suite on SUSE 10 would kick some serious booty.
