Why would they?
Maybe other plaforms such as BSD could use the code. I really have no respect for a company that demands that Java be open sourced and then turn around and not open source anything of value to them.

You views again confirm that Linux has lost its Open Source values.

I am all for companies making money out of their software, but it is really sad how the Linux Open Source community go out of their way to support a company, which is very focussed on the closed source model.
