Why would they?
This is a commercial product, produced in response to customer demand, and with no doubt a considerable developmetn cost associated with it.

Not everything released for Linux has to be Open Source, and even with their championing of Open Source, IBM are still allowed to continue releasing new versions of their existing products in the same manner as they did before.

If they *were* to release the source code, the product would suddenly have no resale value on the Linux platform, and every man and his dog could release a version and start providing support. It would make very little sense for IBM to kill of a healthy revenue stream in that way.

Let's just be thankful they've invested time and money into developing this for our favourite platform.
