Choose a distro that lets you choose each and every part of the system giving the admin the choice of the system configuration for thier enterprise so that he/she may make it the standard throughout the enterprise.

Lets see blackdown, ibm or sun for the JRE. and

Gnome, KDE fluxbox xfce for the Window Manager

Hmm for the browser Mozilla, Opera or [enter name here]

And finally, vanilla, mm-patchset or distro-patchet for the kernel be it 2.4 or 2.6 personally I would go 2.6
