The CBS show 60 Minutes asked eleven hundred Americans how they felt about pieces of the Bill of Rights ? without telling them where the questions came from.

A majority in 1970 believed the government should be allowed to suppress news stories it doesn't like and to ban even peaceful demonstrations. So much for the First Amendment. A majority thought prosecutors should be able to try an acquitted suspect a second time for the same crime. So much for the Fifth. And most people told CBS that police should be allowed to hold a suspect until enough evidence is gathered for a conviction. So much for the Eighth, which bars excessive bail.

Did the US bomb Sudan to cover up their best agent - Osama bin Laden?
Sudan voluntarily gave the USA information on bin Laden and terrorists linked to September 11, the bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Tanzania and Kenya in August 1998, (links to their location, who they were, where they came from, what they were doing in the country). But that information was apparently overruled by the State Department. Instead of thanks, the US had accused Sudan of sponsoring terrorism, connections to bin Laden and bombed the Sudan's El-Shifa Pharmaceutical factory, which was not found to have chemical weapons but made vaccines and medicine and had contracts with the U.N.
