Not another Linux good Microsoft evil post
Microsoft is a for profit company. As such, sure it has its problems. I think however the evil is overrated.

No matter that. The bottom line is just that. The bottom line. Microsoft does provide a platform that in many cases simply makes is easier and faster to get things done, and that's just key in the business world.

And I'm sorry, no OS is free, even Linux. It requires installation and support over the life of the computer its running, which like any software far exceeds the inital cost.

But sure, if you're trying to save money, its a way to achieve such savings, but the cost never goes to zero.

For its problems, I simply don't know of a single platform that is capable of so much for the cost and effort of Windows.

I my like Media Center and Tablet PCs, and there are simply no products like these for other platforms. None that are as simple to use and full featured and stable at any rate that are still fully functional PCs.

So like in all things in life, do and use what works best for you. A world with only Linux wouldn't be any better than the all Microsoft world.
