They are simply not that stupid. Selectively breaking a high profile plug-in like ODF would be the ultimate mistake on the part of MS. Remember, they are being watched (scrutinized) not only by the press, but by the Justice Department, the EU and South Korea, not to mention a host of other interested onlookers. They will not break the plug-in, if anything they will assist in making sure it works and hope that MS Office is not forsaken for its upcoming competitors. They are doing a delicate dance. Anything openly proactive on the part of ODF could hurt them, but anything detrimental on the part of ODF could hurt them even worse. Its the worst of both worlds with little wiggle room.
