IIRC, from a book about the history of MS...

In the early '90s, GO had (may have initiated) meetings with Microsoft to discuss GO's pen-based software/OS.

Even at that time, GO wasn't completely stupid, did not trust MS and requested/demanded that only MS marketing types (ie, not software engineers) be present at those tech-sharing discussions. MS said "Sure, OK, no software engineers (nudge, nudge, wink wink)".

After months of meetings between GO and MS (engineers) and GO revealing it's "family jewels", MS basically said "Not interested" and walked away only to, coincidentally (cough), "develop" and announce it's own pen-based solution months later.

Does a certain MO sound familiar???
