Goodbye slugware!
Actually I think people are getting tired of
their systems getting thrashed by AOL. I cannot
count the number of MS Windows machines I have
had to fix because of AOL.

"You've got a borked system!" And the people
that installed it ask me why it broke and I
can't answer in terms they understand. Printers
stop working, pop-ups galore, modem dies,
scanners won't scan. The list goes on, but I
think the biggest complaint I heard was:

"Why is my system so slow now!?"

If you can't get DSL or Cable in your are, go
with Earthlink, I have had god luck with them
and you don't need to install their software to
make it work! I have set-up many a Win2K, WinXP
and Linux system to connect with Earthlink
without their software. And they all have
experienced faster connection speeds.
