Money for nothing...
If the rest of the world would open their eyes, they would see this to be true. Why should we have to pay for MS to FIX a product that we have already paid for? Are they going to start charging us in installments? If XP had been merchantable, these upgrades which are simply fixes for an inadequate product, would not be needed. We have laws regarding merchantability. This proves that MS knowingly put the consumer at risk by selling a faulty product. These upgrades are not upgrades. They are simply to make the product what it was supposed to be in the first place. This shows a complete disregard for our laws and for the customer. MS should be forced to reimburse everybody who was hurt by the less than merchantable product they released. Then provide the fixes for free since the customer already paid for the product. Has MS risen above the law? If they have slowed down, then their previous pace must have been improper. MS is stealing from the consumer and thumbing their nose at the basic laws and principles the rest of us are required to follow.
