How would Microsoft feel ...
How would Microsoft feel if we send them a bill for using corp. owned network infrastructure for their WGA operations? The fact that the application notifies Microsoft without consent of the organization is the use of corp. infrastructure without consent. Thus illegal and billable. This falls in the same area as spyware, virus, etc. where application uses the private owned network to send information to an outside source. So I may submit a bill to Microsoft for using my network and may file a court order to stop such activities.

Well if Microsoft continues down this road I see other operating system gaining ground or even a new operating system that is way better than Windows. Remember IBM once had the same position as Microsoft has now, and this little known operating system came about and fell IBM called Windows. So I hope this will upset enough people to consider other options and vote with their dollars which is what Microsoft understands when their stock falls even more.
