Yeah, Yeah, that's the ticket
We could have Verisign handle the central authentication/tracking database. After all, they'd never abuse their position. Or ICANN. They could do it without a lot of political baloney. Or use Micorosft PASSPORT. It's proven very secure. We could even let SCO handle the infrastructure.

How many ways have you heard to speed things up by NOT using a central authentication mechanism?

Most of all, I shudder to think of all that spam catching up with me wherever I could hide.

Throw the meat on the floor, watch the carnivores gather around.
