I guess submitting good ideas for improvement to Sun (the JCP) is too slow or whatever for you.

Oh wait, doesn't that also have to happen for open source products to progress? Hmmm, and if the folk "in charge" of the open source don't like your idea or don't think it's a priority then it gets to languish (I haven't used that word for ages wink.

Why shouldn't Sun do it their (JCP) way? It appears to work pretty much as well as open source projects, if not better than most.

And now for a finishing thought for you...

Do you think Microsoft should totally open source .net? That is, GPL (or possibly BSD) ALL of it.
