New Interface......
Well, the king of the Office Suites remains Word Perfect and the new MS Office 7 is adapting several of the features which make WP better the Word. The new Word Reveal Codes is clunky and wemi-unusable for creative work. That you can now, in Office 7 Word both get reveal codes and bring in pictures and illustrations and place them anywhere on the page easily is a step in the right direction. but Word still just doesn't cut it.

And compatibility? If you are a professional in the field and need to be compatible with everybody else out there, Word still doesn't get it. You've gotta use WP to be able to import and export everybody else's stuff.... If you make a living working for other people they DO NOT all use MS Word/Office Suite. The ONLY program that allows you compatibility with everyone - including MS Word - is Word Perfect.
