and again I have NO problem whatsoever with that. If SUN was giving away: tools that work on Java for the Ultrasparc only then I wouls consider this anything but a way to attract more coders in their proprietary camp. That is not any big deal worth mentioning though, unless you work for their advertising/PR office.

You like them, use them. Stop speaking for them as if you work for them, in which case the whole "giving away to community" is just a crapload.
