Look but don't touch
What, really, is the use of Microsoft proprietary code which can be looked at, but not altered? Are Windows coder's aware that to copy even one line of this "shared code" into an application of their own, will open them to financial ruin by MS's favourite snuffing-out tactic, litigation? Haven't Windows coder's realised that Microsoft's basic premise is that all end users are thieves? Don't Windows coders realise that to look at proprietary Microsoft code is only one step away from stealing it? No-one who looks at this code can ever work on another project without opening that project to possible future IP litigation from the innovation-snuffing Microsoft behemoth.
