- If they can use it to make money...
- ...then they will be behind it. The only reason the current Web succeeded as it has is because companies were able to make money with it, and thus used that money to improve it (although whether it has actually improved, taking into account pop-ups, pop-unders, spam, invasive ads, etc. is debatable).
