Don't overlook the alternative.

I agree that the H-1B program has problems but let's be fair here. The H-1B worker is here and having to deal with the cost of living here. He can't work for pennys on the dollar cause he can't survive on that. Plus he probably wants to stay and become a citizen.

The alternative is that the company he works for leaves him in India or wherever and outsources the work to him there. Now he can work for much much less.

Yes H-1B has problems but I at least would rather have those people here working than having the work outsourced.
