If Office 2003 is an example of what to expect
from Office 2007, then no way Jose'! I have a lot of Access database tools that I created and had running flawlessly under Office 2000. Everything worked reliably and O2K was more (and still is for that matter!) that enough to meet the requirements for our needs. My company "upgraded" to Office 03 and it's been one headache after another!

Almost every single Access app is not borked and trying to fix them has been a major PITA! And now to resolve this my bosses are talking about moving to Office 2007! What are the maschoists? Some of the issues we have had:

1. Can't step through some of the VB code in debug mode. Example, if you are running debug (which works great in Access 2000!) and part of the code advances or retards a record the debug tool will error out telling you, you can perform that step in design mode! And if you have a whole series of code AFTER advancing a record you're screwed. The purpose of debug is to step through the code from the break point and I can't on many occassions.

2. Many of the logic functions coded in will work fine for a period of time then for no apparent reason... they stop working and nothing you do will revive them! I have had to re-write entire modules and forms just to get the functions to work again (ironically the code is identical!).

3. Even after being set up by certified MCSE's and other more savvy people than myself, Access 2003 is incapable of handling more than 5 users connected to it on a network! Never had that problem with Access 2000!

3.A. If more than 5 users are connected at the same time (which is the case normally!) the tables get so corrupted and filled with blank invalid records (even though there are hard coded safe guards to prevent this from happening!) that we have to take the damn things down twice a day to clean and repair them.

So no, if this is an indication of what to expect... keep it. I see no value at all.
