The movie industry vs music industry
The movie industry does already offer a great deal. You can buy DVDs for anywhere from $9.99 to $130 and the more you pay the more you get. The basic $9.99 movie is usually older by about 3 years at least and has little or nothing extra while you $130 dollar purchase usually has 8-10 DVDs of content for a boxed set.

Now music you buy a CD for $14-$22 where only the newest music is cheap and after 3 months the prices jump. Everything older than 3-4 months is very expensive. You get nothing extra for the extra price. You 8 to 12 songs of 3 to 4 minutes each where only 2 or 3 if you are lucky are good while the rest is just filler.

Personally I don't know why anyone buys these CDs? I mean all the good songs are on the radio, record them off there for nothing. And people complain about P2P hurting the industry, Radio is what is hurting the industry.
