Oh my ... Communism does NOT equal Christianity ...

The notion that "communism equals Christianity without the God part"--or put another way, that the "early Church instituted a form of communism" is a myth that must be gotten over, too.

Communism is strictly an ECONOMIC system which seeks social control via centralized ownership and control. That's it.

Christianity is a faith-based spiritual rebirth on the individual level. Christianity is NOT a system of churches or other institutions, so even if the 'early church' did implement a form of communism (which it did NOT--more on that in a second), you still can not equate 'early church' practices with Christianity itself. The two are separate.

This is the Scripture that gets confused as "communism": "All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need." Acts 2:44-45. Here we see no abolishment of private property, no connection betweeen becoming a "Christian" and giving up your material possessions (voluntarily).

Communism, on the other hand, by definition, means 'no private property,' and state-controlled order. The State = God (so yes, communism does have a 'god').

The two are mutually exclusive. In one, God = God and your status as a Christian is contingent only upon your personal relationship with Him. Communism, State = God and you have no rights whatsoever to anything.
