"Bill Gates made the correct decisions on the main issues. He
also made some bad calls, but those proved more minor."

What about that little decision to integrate IE into the browser.
The one that continues to cost the company and shareholders
untold billions in antitrust defense, security woes and the
technical and intellectual paralysis caused by the resulting bloat
and complexity (Vista anyone?).

Now Bill skips off into the sunset leaving MS with a flatlined
stock price and the giant hairball known as Windows. Ray Ozzie
now gets the job of cleaning things up, separating the browser
from the OS and returning us technically to where Netscape
would have had us years ago.

Yeah, thanks for all that "visionary" leadership.
