SQL Server retains the crown...
My rep and I are so sick of hearing about YourSQL. Even the name smells of attempted monopolization of the database industry. Calling it MySQL lends credence to people who actually might just be criticizing it but because they say MySQL, people think they use it anyway. Our Marketing dept approached me about this and PHP a few weeks ago because they needed some internal tracking application and had no budget. I LAUGHED IN THEIR FACE. I said, either you get the required $2 million for proper .NET Licensing or we don't deploy the application. Period, end of story. My rep is right now negotiating with them and I support his tough-love stance fully. I WILL NEVER ALLOW OPEN SOURCE to PENETRATE this network.
